AVAC PED LIVE

COMPOSITION:

Each dose contains at least 10^4,5 TCID₅₀ attenuated Porcine Epidemic Disease (PED) virus per strain of Avac/98 strain (Genotype 1) and D14 strain (Genotype 2).

INDICATION:

Avac PED Live is indicated for active immunization of pregnant sows and gilts in order to protect newborn pigs from high virulent PED virus.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE: Instramuscular injection.

USAGE AND DOSAGE:

– Reconstitute a vaccine vial with the accompanying vial of “Avac Diluent”. Each dose of vaccine is 2 mL of diluent. Do not Reconstitutevaccine with any other diluent.

– Dosage: A single dose is 2 mL.

*Vaccination schedule for swine:

– Gilts: 2 shots at 4 and 8 weeks prior to insemination.

– Pregnant sows: 2 shots; the first shot at 6-8 weeks, and the second shot at 2-3 weeks prior to farrowing.

PRECAUTION:

– Only use for healthy pigs.

– Do not freeze the vaccine during storage and transition. Vaccine should be kept at room temperature and shake well before using.

– All diluted vaccines should not be frozen and must be used within 2-3 hours.

– Do not use the vaccine together with other vaccines, but antiviral drugs and antibiotics can be used simultaneously.

– Do not use expired, cracked or discolored products.

– The excess vaccine need to be sterilized and handled according to the regulation.

– Use only sterilized tools for injection.

STORAGE: Kept at 2-8^○C, avoid direct sunlight.

PACKING SIZE: Vials: 1, 5, 10 and 50 doses (each accompanied bysufficient diluent  in a separate vial).

SHELF – LIFE: Best before 24 months from manufacture date.
